Bay Area housing prices rose more than 10 percent in October compared to a year ago, but sales dropped by 10.7 percent, according to a report by the California Association of Realtors released Monday. The median price of a Bay Area home was $719,660 in October, a 1 percent hike compared to September and 10.6 percent more than October 2004. MORE
